Thoroughly awful hotel. Arrived and found front door closed. Buzzed intercom to be asked if I wanted to checkin. Checkin OK to find room (OK) but with electric heating (in the oil and gas capital of Scotland.!). Back to the bar to find that the guy in reception is the barman. Seems that the staff consist of the parents plus... more

First impression of the highly reccommended Pinehurst Hotel? Marvellous. The hotel is built onto what i am told to be a converted manse nextdoor to a church ruin and graveyard, the stones still remain might i add. The grounds are kept beautifully, the old building is stunning and the new rooms are impressive. My only complaint is the staff. They... more

This is very much a family run thing. The staff are very polite and friendly. There is mum and Dad, The grown up children and the Gran Mags behind the bar. The rooms are very clean. My first impression was wow, nobody has ever stayed in my room (18) before. The room overlooked a grave yard so it was very... more

Booked the hotel the day before i was due to check-in, was not informed of a cancellation policy. Had to cancel due to protesters at airport causing my flight to be cancelled. Informed then promptly at around 12:00 (midday) and was informed that as the cancellation was not 24hrs before the check-in time we would be charged 100% of the... more

I stayed at this hotel earlier this month and it was the best four nights ive had in Aberdeen. I have travelled to Aberdeen six times previous to my last stay and i have to say the Pinehurst standard is by far above the rest of Aberdeens hotels on offer. The food was Excellent, the bar was peaceful and the room... more

If you have to be in Dyce then this is the practical choice. The rooms and hotel are absolutely spotless. Better than most hotels in Aberden Tea and , mini-bar, digital TV (Sony TV). Bathroom very clean, shower has good pressure. SInk a little small. The food is standard fair, nothing spectacular, but no complaints. The oil workers will appreciate... more

i would like to say that more than a handful of friends and work colleugues had recommended Pinehurst before my stay. On arrival I was given a friendly greeting and my check-in was faster than any hotel I have ever been to. The room was superb for the two weeks i stayed,it was decorated very well. I later took my... more

This hotel is for offshore workers only in my opinion. The food and accommodation is below average and, as the manager said when I complained, "I don't care I can fill this hotel ten times over every night with Oil workers from Shell" - I really don't think he cares. more

I would like to first say what a wonderful meal in a pleasant ambient setting. I was very happy until I was served by a waitress who was obviously in the wrong place of work, I had to recheck my surroundings for I thought I was in Hooters! This is advertised as a family hotel and I can't imagine why... more
