True to its name, this spot is a lodge. The food was great, the innkeeper/owner was a fantastic host! He got my mom back onto Scotch and picked a lager appropriate for each of our individual tastes. Each person we encountered here was friendly and helpful, and Mr. Cassidy took time to talk with us about what local things we were checking out. Mrs. Cassidy's cooking in the morning was fantastic, and we all highly recommend the porridge. The dinners were also great, and we ate there both nights as restaurants were not too close by and we had found the food great our first night there.

The accomodations were clean and comfortable, but not plush. We had everything that we needed, including a delightful heated towel bar. Don't expect something fancy when staying here, however, it was just fine for us! more
