Having read the trip advisor reviews prior to staying for 2 nights,i was not really looking forward to this,as i am on a budget it was the best rate i could get including breakfast at a Hotel/Premier Inn etc around Aberdeen. The Premier Inns were more than what i payed here ! Ok the staff are from all over the... more

Arrived at the hotel with reasonable expectations, the building is imposing Gothic Victorian. Front desk a little confused as to the fact that our rate was prepaid, and wanted us to pay again, but ok, 2 young Scandanavian girls. Rooms were very tired, perhaps not refreshed since the early eighties under a previous owner. Bathrooms were particularly grim and none... more

Enjoyed two nights here as a guest for a friend of a friend's wedding. I didn't know the couple very well but they really seemed to enjoy their day and having stayed in other top hotels for weddings, this hotel certainly seemed to pay attention to detail and as far as guests could tell, the day went very well for... more

After reading some of the reviews, I was bewildered. I'm planning an anniversary, and got an offrer for this hotel. But are they up to it ? So I took a 2 days stay on my own, just to check. And yes, I find this to be a good hotel in all. The only annoyance was a very noisy fan... more

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here in July 2007, and then stayed over the night of the ceremony. The hotel and staff were superb for the ceremony and dinner. They helped us to plan down to the last detail, and really went the extra mile. The day went faultlessly. The only issue we had was in the evening,... more

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a business trip to Aberdeen. Picked the hotel because of the location i.e out of town and by its grand appearance. Parking at the hotel is not issue. The decor of the hotel ,in particular the reception, bars and lounges is what you would expect from a grand Scottish castle which this place... more

Have just returned from a relaxing weekend at the ardoe house hotel. We booked the hotel for a weekend break through lastminute.com. As the hotel is 4* we did anticipate it would be slightly more expensive but we were completely outpriced of the main resturant (so expensive there is no prics on the menu - only supplement prices!). Luckily for... more

I travelled here on work, so I can thank my client for making me stay here! The hotel was like Fawlty Towers. The hotel looks very tired and if it were a sick pet you'd put it down immediately to put it out of its misery. The reception staff were fairly helpless and looked like they were struggling to work... more
