We booked this trip with a coach company as we had always wanted to tour the Highlands and this hotel had been given a good review. Check out was 10.30a.m and my friend and I had gone to visit a friend nearby and returned at 10.40 a.m to find my suitcase unzipped and lying in the hallway with my mobile phone and charger, make-up bag and sun-glasses lying on top of my case. There are two sides to every story however in this instance we would simply refer to other Tripadvisor guest comments and rest our case ! The writer is being truly vindictive as she was well aware that our Hotel was closing for business when she wrote this public comment.
Our room was beautiful, with a stained glass panel and a comfortable bed. Our hosts were wonderfully helpful, recommending restaurants, procuring taxis, and getting up early to check us out so we could make an early train. While the Craiglynn wasn't cheap, it was well located and meticulously kept up. We enjoyed our stay! more
Really nice place, peaceful, clean, warm and firendly. Not to mention and absolutly cracking cooked breakfast! I would recommend it. more
Very nice family run hotel, with excelent rooms, very nice service. Very hospitable, I feel very much 'at home' here and try to stay here every time I visit Aberdeen on business. Good breakfast and possibility for dinner. Within walking distance from Union street and also easy acces to major industrial estates such as Althens. more
