The hotel is out of town on the edge of an industrial estate. The location is fine if your travelling on from Aberdeen but too far out for those expecting to walk into town (its about a 30 minute drive). The foyer and public areas of the hotel are all modern and clean. Oddly the hotel website has only photos... more

Thank you for your review! I was very disappointed to read the hotel did not live up to your expectations. The hotel is situated out of town but only 3 miles, it’s a short 10 minute drive or taxi ride, or 25 minute walk. I was sorry to read your comments regarding the maintenance of your room. We are working...

The hotel is not bad. It does appear to be an older hotel but most of Scotland appears to be that way. We stayed here two times during or 8 days in Scotland. For the weekend we drove done to Edinburgh then returned. The first 3 nights we were on the 3rd floor in an older unrefurbished room. I must... more

I stayed in this hotel for one night only, thankfully, with my husband who was there on business. The room was obviously not one of the refurbished ones, which we didnt realise may have been available. The bed and bedding were clean but no valances on the bases and the room definately had a strange smell. The bathroom was not... more

Good - Clean hotel. Leisure facilities at no extra cost to residents. Rooms clean, comfortable and very spacious. Bad - Hotel a bit dated, but noticed that they were spending money on bringing it up to date. Hotel lost my booking, but did their best to rectify situation. Food menu was not that great. No draught beer in bar (problems... more

After reading the last 4 quite frankly poor reviews I had to add one of my own. I could not find fault with is hotel at all! We had an executive room which was quite easily bigger than some peoples living rooms at home. To huge double beds, flat screen tv, lovely decor and a dressing room leading into the... more

I admit it was the only hotel room that my PA could find for tonight but I can see exactly why that would be the case. Its perfectly located admist its industrial neighbours and reminds me of hotels I have stayed at in Moscow. OK there is renovation work going on but that does not excuse the lack of cleanliness... more

Location is out of town, taxi from hotel to the town center - 7-10 pounds, breakfast is good, but not cheap. Hotel is not noisy, cleanness of the room is ok, atmosphere in the hotel is old, but they have renovated rooms. There is no hairdryer in the room. This hotel is not value for money. more

I only chose this hotel for its very convenient location to the customer i was visiting. However the service was very uneven, with some staff clearly not bothered and some more helpful. I was given a non refurbished room which was dark, smelly and not cleaned very well. When i called reception to ask if i could pay to get... more

I was not impressed with this hotel what so ever. I must of been placed in one of the non-refurbished rooms. The room was old, dark, smelly and dirty. The TV was in rough shape as well, and the remote worked off and on. The hallways were very dated, and could use new carpet. The location wasn't the greatest either,... more
