My friend and I stayed here with our 2 collies for 2 nights. It has been a grand hotel -owned by the bankrupt Swallow chain in a past life - but is now ticking over. That said we could not fault the welcome or our cases carried to our room. The room was very clean ,large and comfortable - though... more

While the inn was very conveniently located to my business purpose, I would have expected much more quaint lodging given the way the floors creaked and the plumbing in sink ran simultaneously at two temperatures to spite only one faucet. Trying to wash my face, my left hand was scalded and right hand was chilled. The shower ran just fine... more

I travel on business a lot and the agency my company use seem to like using this hotel, after 2 trips I had to tell them to never ever put me here again. I will admit to being zero tolerant to outside noise and the walls between the rooms are paper thin with the TV next door being quite clearly... more

We basically filled the hotel, because we were a big group of music teachers from all over the world, visiting the nearby international school for a choir festival. My room had no bathroom ensuite, but there was one (shower only) on the landing, shared by 4 bedrooms. It is such a shame that the management of this hotel fail to... more

As before, no-one at reception but came immediately when 'phoned. The two staff I met were very pleasant. Room was clean, functional and comfortable. Only problem was the heater timer switch did not work and I think the thermostat was broken. (Sorry, in hurry to leave, forgot to mention to hotel). Buffet breakfast was perfectly acceptable. Lots of parking but... more

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights when my company sent me to Aberdeen for a week. All I can say, if I am ever sent again to this area, I will have one condition - not to stay in this hotel!!!!! The staff wasn't very helpful - there was no one at the reception when I arrived (... more

Well it just goes to show that different travellers have different experiences. My husband and I stayed one night as we were visiting our son at University in Aberdeen. We struggled to find somewhere online ( I put this down to Pink having a concert that night in Aberdeen but may be wrong) and it was travelodge at £63 and... more

Sept 06, carpets still poor. room o.k. but beds very poor quality. Breakfast very good. Manager seemed to be everywhere doing everything. dinner, limited menu, not much thought , probably tied by group catering mandate. Dining room downstairs very bleak room downstairs and breakfast room would make a super dining room. Room warm and decor in need of an update.... more

Hotel staff welcoming enough. The hotel is in need of new carpets and redecoration. Rooms very clean and tidy. The one major problem we had was having a room on the first floor we thought the occupants upstairs were about to fall through the floor! This kept us awake every night until they went to sleep!! Breakfast was very disorganised.... more
