I stayed at The Old Mill again this week and can report that normal service prevails...ie. clean, comfortable room, good food and compared with central Aberdeen hotels, very good value. The Old Mill is approximately 6 miles from the city and is in a very pleasant rural position next to the River Dee. I shall stay there again next time... more

Overall ambiance is of an old fashioned hotel, but it's wearing well. Everything was very clean, food was good, didn't have any "American Werewolf" moments in the bar from the locals. Overall, very good value. Everyone efficient and friendly. Would stay there again more

Very charming place, although located quite a ways out of town. The staff were very accommodating, as we had difficulties getting there and arrived quite late. The young woman on the phone was kind and courteous, gave us directions, and they patiently waited for us--and kept the bar open a few minutes late to let us have a much needed... more
