Stayed here after a wedding recently up in Banff. Space for car parking just minutes from the hotel down a side street.
On arrival, there was no one at reception, but after ringing the bell, the owner appeared. Check in was very quick. We had a double room with en-suite bathroom. Some of the rooms only have a sink and you need to share a bathroom in the corrider.
Our room was round the back of the hotel - view was lovely. It was very peaceful and quiet. The hotel is very "old style" but it works in this place. Our bed in our room is 250 years old, the mattress was very firm but extremely comfortable.
There was tea/coffee making facilities plus plenty biscuits. Breakfast was filing - cereal, rolls etc., cooked breakfast and toast with tea/coffee and juice.
If we are in the area and need to stay over again, we will stay here again.
