Stayed here for a 4 day trip, the apartment was clean and well laid out. Everything you needed was supplied and it was maintained to a spotless level. Will defininitely use again in the future. The owners did everything they could to make my stay as hassle free as possible.

Ive just returned from a 4 night stay at the lovely old shooting lodge in Mintlaw. I was working in Aberdeenshire ,and the location was great for getting to peterhead, fraserburgh, huntly and all the surronding areas. The room i had was nice and clean with all the facilities that a boy needs. The guest house has free wifi, that... More

I'm staying here for a couple of days on business and the Shooting Lodge is superb. The rooms are large and pleasant, the beds very comfortable, the WiFi works well, the downstairs rooms are luxurious, the breakfast excellent. I really can't fault anything. It reminds me a bit of the Meldrum House Hotel on a smaller scale and without the... More

I have just returned from 5 glorious days in Aberdeenshire. The Old Shooting Lodge was booked for me as a surprise and I have to say I couldn't have wished for anything better. Both Neil and Mark made me so welcome, and looked after me very well indeed. It is a lovely house, in a great quiet spot with so... More

Having read some reviews of the lodge, I decided that it was just the place for my husband and I to spend a night on the way to relatives in the north. We were not to be disappointed as it lived up to all our expectations! From the warmth of the welcome from Neil to the wonderful breakfast prepared by... More

I enjoyed an excellent two night stay at The Old Shooting Lodge. There is not much choice in this area anyway, so it is particularly gratifying to find accommodation of such friendliness and quality in this fairly off-the-beaten-track part of the world. Room and breakfast were spot-on. I grabbed a take-away from the place in the village centre and was... More

There just isn't a bad point to make about our three day stay here. Super breakfast and a first class room. We were greeted with a tray of coffee and biscuits after our long drive, which was not expected. The owners couldn't be more helpful and even dried our soaking motorcycle clothing for us.

The location is very beutiful and peaceful. Lovely views from room, and very well decorated and very clean. Owners were very welcoming and informative. The whole place was really homely. Food was lovely, especially the packed lunches. I would highly recommend this place. We will definatley be back. The rating "exellent" does not rate this place highly enough.

One of the nicest places I have stayed, and I have been to quite a few! I had a hot meal on arrival even though it was 10pm at night, very much appreciated. Excellent service overall. Will definitely use this accomodation again.
