We decided to stop in Carnoustie as it was 20:00 on a dark night in November, having looked at a few hotels prior to departure, we went to them 1st but they were all fully booked but was pointed in the direction of the Kinloch Arms.
I asked the extremely helpful girl in the hotels restaurant for a room and was giving one straight away but explained to that the rooms just have single beds in and not doubles. As it was late we decided to take this room.
There was a nice large car park behind the hotel and on re-entry where greated by the owner who advised we had the hotel to ourselves and was very helpful.
We then went up to our room which was very basic and slightly old fashioned, we pushed the beds together and we found a rent o kill insect trapper up there which we were worried about at first but did not see one bug.
The room was very old fashioned with a old carpet and decor. The shower was not very powerful but done the trick, also the hotel...
