I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Poppy House. As a lone traveller I was made to feel completely welcome and felt comfortable right from the start. Rooms were clean, with TV and tea/coffee facilities, and breakfasts wonderful. Good quiet location, close to the small town centre and also close to the train station and bus stops. The Poppy House is the best B and B that I have stayed in. Beautiful rooms with the most fantastic decor and wonderful views coupled with the most fantastic hosts. My husband and I were on 6 weeks holiday from Australia. We visited Carnoustie to catch up with a long time school friend that I had not seen for 40+ years, and to enjoy a traditional hogmanay with good company.
