I joined the B&B only one day on my trip through scotland, especially the islands. There was a really warming welcome of honest, helpful and absolutely nice people. Breakfast next morning was amazing and the chats with them were really really nice. I didnt enjoy to leave. If I had known about these people, I would stayed minimum one day... More

We enjoyed our stay at Redknowe. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, overlooking an extremely well-kept garden on the one side and beautiful hills where cows could be seen grazing on the other. Our hosts were very charming and helpful. Breakfast was good and although I didn't enjoy having to share a bathroom, it was a very clean, spacious... More

Only a 10 minute stroll from the centre of town and the Loch, the Redknowe is easy to find and offers adequate on-site and roadside parking. Your hosts, Dave and Sue, provide a warm and friendly welcome to their charming home. The more than ample and well equipped rooms are spotlessly clean. They are tastefully decorated and furnished to a... More

All six of us - a family trip - stayed at this B&B for a couple of nights, as part of a bigger trip around Kintyre, Islay and Jura. The owners, Dave and Sue, were cheery and welcoming from the first moment we stepped across the threshold. The B&B is a sprawling, beautiful old house, with big rooms and plenty... More

Very good welcome, with friendly conversations with both hosts, who clearly get on with each other which is a plus! The main house is very nice and homely. the breakfast room is a real joy, with attractive homely furniture, and joy-of-joys a proper pepper-mill to use on the delicious fresh breakfast. Nice view over the well-tended front garden. The guest... More

Dave and Sue were always most friendly and helpful with Dave providing a wealth of local history. Room warm and comfy, breakfast excellent. Only downside was there was no communal lounge. Staying in November when it's dark at 4.30 it makes for a long evening to be in the bedroom, though they did let us use their personal lounge when... More

This was just about the best place we stayed on our Scottish place and it has a large and interesting garden at the back of the place. Excellent room which could not be faulted, the bathroom was also excellent. The owners were very professional and also very friendly and there is really nothing even slightly negative that I could say... More

We stayed one night in this b+b and it was very comfortable, furnished very modernly and with nice hosts. We had an en-suite bathroom which was quite small but very adequate, and in the shower there was even some shower gel that we use at home! Breakfast was good, unfortunately we had to rush it because we had to make... More

GETTING THERE: I flew from London to Glasgow with BA and then took the Flybe twin otter plane from Glasgow. I wouldn't do this again, as on our return the Flybe flight was delayed by 2 hours and we missed our connection. Not pleased. LOCATION: The B&B is located just outside town. I parked on the road and walked up... More
