My friend and I were on a trip to Campbelltown on our motorbikes. Due to an unfair negative review, we chose to stay in another hotel.However the Argyle Arms Hotel was recommended to us for good food. Having just spent one night in this dark and murky hotel I'm just grateful it was not for any longer. It has to be said that the staff were very pleasant apart from the grumpy old guy that was on reception at night (most unpleasant). Third visit, it keeps getting better & better. Food excellent, good location, great when the sun shines (which was nearly every day). Hosts very helpful, a super mini break. more
hi, just stayed at argyll arms, four of us, for two nights. hotel clean food excellant, staff helpfull. doing transport road run 2008 dumfries- campbeltown, in september, have booked whole hotel, for our entrants. good luck to new owners maggie ross more
stayed here while away with work. charged £47 for a single which compared with others in oban which charged half that it was terrible. its very old and run down though must have been quite a place in it's day, some 300 years ago. is worth going to see the wallpaper in the hallway on the first floor, felt ike... more

This outdated review is damaging to our business. We have taken over the Hotel Late July 2006 and have made significant improvements at substantial cost. Please remove this outdated review.
