We were here for a night as a family of 6 including 4 young children and had a great stay. Mr Archer (proprietor) was very welcoming to us; he went out of his way to help us with the holiday-hyped children. Good rooms, good food and good value. Good location a street or two from the town centre. more

Had a really pleasant stay here with some other friends at the start of June. Doug, the owner is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I recommend it highly. An unexpected treasure - Doug was an excellent host while Saskia's talents were in the kitchen - we were happy travellers after her goat's cheese tart and carmelised apple pudding - very comfortable and pleasing front bedroom with wonderful view of the loch - really enjoyed our stay - many thanks! PS impressive malt whiskey selection more

Nice, clean hotel. Food is good and Doug is an excellent host giving lots of advice and willing to keep the bar open late for residents!! 10 minutes drive from the golf course and the drive through Kintyre is breathtaking. more
