We stayed at the Old Rectory by chance, and were very glad that we did. It's under new management, who have beautifully refurnished the house but run out of money for TV players and en suites in every room, so the price was incredibly low at £25 per person, and for that you get a big beautiful room with a... more

Recently under new management (it reopened the end of august), the old rectory is the perfect place to stay if you visit Inverary. It has amazing uninterupted views over loch fyne and nicely decorated rooms and public areas. The people running it are very hospitable and make you feel very welcome and at home in the guest house. Would definately... more

The Old rectory at Inverary has recently fallen into new ownership and therefore new management-and it shows...some former comments being less than savoury...let me assure you, dear reader, that this is certainly not the case now! This grade I listed ,150 year old building has hugley benefitted from alot of TLC from it's current owners...it has excellent decor throughout and... more

This weekend my partner & I went along to the opening of the Old Rectory in Inverary. The B&B has recently been taken over by new management and what a beautifully finished place it is! Situated just outside the main village of Inverary, but within easy walking distance, it sits over looking the Loch. Because of its position it is... more

After about 20 years of so called B and B in Scotland and England, I at last found a real one in Inverary - The Old Rectory. We were welcomed with a warm sit down chat, some sweets for my daughter and a welcome drink for us. The next morning the owner took my daugter to the beach to play... more

I came to the B&B towards the end of June 2008 following recommendations from a few different friends who had stayed there back in 2005. I had spent a week travelling with great B&B's in Scotland, priced from 20-£25. Price was £30 pp For this we got a room which is devoid of any character, no tea and coffee facilities,... more

I stayed in The Old Rectory when it was under previous ownership - a warm, friendly guest house, with good furniture, a warmth about it, great customer service and amazing breakfasts, and excellent value. It was one of the best (even without en suite facilities). Sadly that has all changed. The new owner has been there two years and needs... more

Wonderful views of the Loch from the front of the B&B. Lovely cooked breakfast every morning. The friendly owners made us feel very welcome. Chris and Jane were very good hosts (again as this was the 4th or 5th time we have stayed) througout our stay. Cant wait to go back again sometime soon hopefully. Very friendly dogs too. more

Used to stay here loads of times under the previous owner....it was superb although there was no ensuite. The rest made up for it. It used to be £17 a night...this has now went to £30 a night under the new owners...when asked they said it had went more upmarket. What a laugh!!! Cheap furniture all over the place...not very... more
