Finding the hotel was already a problem, since it was sold to us as the Town House hotel. Its name, however, is still the Rowan Tree, and we needed a trip to Oban's tourist information centre to sort things out. We stayed at the Rowan Tree Hotel Oban in Scotland for one night in August 2005. It is just an ordinary pub. I didn't enjoy our stay, noisy rooms, no remote for the television, less than inviting bathroom and a very ordinary dingy dining room. I wouldn't stay there again. more
