I stayed here for 7 weeks while I was working in the hospital in Oban. This is a comfortable hostel with private guestrooms as well. It has all you need for a decent price e.g. TV, internet, cooking utensils and storage, towels. There is a large kitchen with everything you'd need, for self-catering. A very disappointing stay. We had travelled the north west coast of scotland and been blown away by the friendly hospitality all in a similar style of accommodation. We arrived at this hostel after a long drive on a hot day, looking forward to a shower and chilling out in the bar below. We had booked an en-suite room, but on arrival found we had been 'downgraded' to a standard room. I really don't know what the other reviews are talking about. The hostel is clean, we stayed in a twin room which was actually more of a hotel than a hostel room, en-suite for about 16£. There seems to be a new owner, because the woman who runs it is not called Susan but Anne and she's a lovely lady.... more

In all walks of life, you get good or bad, i have stayed there and i rate this place well, you get what you pay for, its a hostel not Gleneagles, lovely pub underneath with very good company. So lay off more
