Recently spent 2 nights at The Black Bull in Lauder. What a find! Great value at £70 for a double room, good location, excellent food both at breakfast and in the evening and really friendly and helpful staff. Our room was lovely, with a large ensuite shower room and was very clean. Can't ask for any more, and can't think... more

What a difference 4 years makes. Here in this wee border town on the edge of the Scottish Borders you'll find a real hands on husband and wife team keen to please. I was in a twin room room 1. Good sized bathroom all the amenities you'd expect tea coffee etc. Real ales on tap, great food cooked by mamma... more

A very warm welcome for us when we arrived at the hotel, staff were very polite and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. The owners were very friendly and made sure our stay was perfect in every way. The food was excellent. I cannot criticise any aspect of our short stay at The Black Bull. more

We recently stayed at the Black Bull hotel in Lauder, it is a most delightful place to stay, loads of character, friendly and, best of all, great food at a sensible price.
