The most beautiful house,gardens,bedroom ,bathroom[!] view[Of the EildonHills] that anyone could ask for.Using Tripadvisor I'd selected it to break our journey north, but wish we'd been able to stay longer. My favourite place to stay during my trip to Scotland was Fauhope House. The house and furnishings were beautiful and full of character. The host, Sheila, was very friendly and provided good restaurant recommendations for dinner, and continuously invited us to have a glass of Sherry before dinner (laid out in the Drawing Room). It´s true this is a truly wonderful house in really nice surroundings. However a few not so nice touches on behalf of the owners left us feelling a little disappointed with our stay. I have stayed at Fauhope a few times and it gets better every time! The house itself is beautiful with lovely grounds to explore.
