I stayed for one night but was made very welcome by Dave. Well located in the centre of the town, close to various pubs/hotels which serve evening meals. Bedroom was a good size with a shower which worked well (not always the case in b&bs). Breakfast was the full works very well cooked and served in the elegant dining room... More

A great place, perfectly located in Melrose, in a beautiful old house. Dave, the proprietor, was very helpful in recommending a good place to eat nearby. A very good experience all round. More

Our group of four had a friendly reception and excellent night in this very well-maintained and comfortable bed and breakfast establishment. Centrally located in Melrose it made a great stop over in a walk from Kelso to Selkirk. More

Once settled in we found this B&B to be comfortable and in a very handy location. Dave was helpful and informative. The breakfast as per the standard that we had expereinced in other B&B's was of a high quality in both variety of choice and quality/quanty of the food chosen. Thank you for making a valuable contribution to our stay... More

Great place to stay in the heart of Melrose. Rooms are very large and well furnished. We had a huge double bed in ours. Dave & Annette are a fine hosts and the breakfast was mighty. Highly recommended. Especially as Melrose is a very central base for touring the Borders. More

It was very clean with matching furniture and two chairs in the bay window to sit and look at the lovely view and the most important a nice firm bed. The... More

Stayed 2 nights. Dave is the consummate host; friendly without being intrusive, knowledgeable about his house, restaurants, where to park, were to visit, and the world! Great guy to talk to. The house is a beautiful old bank building nicely restored and decorated without being too fussy. Room was very comfortable and bath was large and well outfitted. Breakfast was... More

We have just returned from a 4-night stay at the Old Bank House. It's right in the heart of Melrose, in a beautiful old house -- the dining room was the bank manager's office. Our room was lovely, as was the en suite. It was very comfortable -- two comfy chairs unlike many hotels and b and b's which seem... More
