I stayed here while walking St Cuthbert's Way. A great location in the middle of the town. My room was a little old fashioned, but I've seen much worse. The food was good too. more

Stayed at the kings arms 2 nights, staff great(ian and kate) could not be more helpful, ian didn,t stop all day and night, looked after us very well. on the other hand, the management hardly said 2 words to my partner and I over the 2 nights we stayed!! Myself and some mates stayed at the hotel for a weekend in early March and found the management and staff to be very friendly, with the publican keeping the bar open for us for a wee bit after closing time on a couple of occassions. The Kings Arms used to be a vibrant town pub in Melrose catering for the local population and tourists with excellent food and a warm friendly atmosphere.
