Stay here regularly & the hosts & Staff are so helpful & accommodating, no matter what we ask of them. The rooms are comfortable & a decent size & the guest lounge is perfect for our group. The restaurant serves wonderful food & kitchen staff go out of their way to help us feel at home - Cannot fault any... more

My family and myself have stayed at the Traquair Arms Hotel on a number of occasions. Since the current owners have taken over this Hotel the transformation has been outstanding. The beer garden is lovely, the children are well and truely in a safe environment. The bedrooms are very nice and the food is excellent, plenty of choice for vegetarians.... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Traquair Arms Hotel. The rooms were clean, dinner in the pub was great, and the breakfast in the morning got us off to a good start. The staff was very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The pub feaured cask conditioned ales, some were from the nearby Traquair House Brewery. more

The same as below! Really nice website, good decor, ok room, mouldy bathroom. We stayed for just the one night (wedding neary) and the people were very nice and everything. Breakfast mediocre. more

We had previously stayed at Traquair Arms 5 years ago under the previous management - at that time the rooms were luxurious and the service excellent - hence our decision to return for two nights. What a disappointment - the contrast between then and now - they advertise that the rooms have been refurbished but we would say they have... more

Really disappointed, we booked for a 2 night stay to attend a family wedding nearby, when I looked at the hotel on the internet it had boasted how it had just gone through a refurbishment, well not in our room. Our room was very basic and I had booked a double and ended up in a twin, I haven't slept... more

We booked this hotel by telephone and were offered the best room as it was an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Although a large room, it was a little shabby although had a huge very comfortable bed. The large bathroom was clean, had a large bath and a good shower. Unfortunately no toiletries were provided. I assumed that... more

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend as he was taking part in a downhill race nearby. The location is great for biking. The owners were lovely and even had a secure lock up for our bikes on an evening. Breakfast was great. The room was comfortable and well appointed and we will stay here again next time... more

I have stayed twice at the hotel, once in a whilrwind trip with my mother and a friend and more recently with my wife and daughter. The second trip we used the hotel as a base for a four day tour of the Borders. It turned out to be a perfect choice for us. We were lodged in a family... more
