We found the Lindores to be ALMOST everything a mid price B&B should be - good location, friendly hosts, clean room, comfy bed....but were perplexed at the rather stingy servings of the cooked breakfasts! Such an easy thing to get right to give guests a lasting, good, impression - but a teaspoon of chopped up mushrooms and about a tablespoon... more

The Lindores is a beautiful house, easy to find and centrally located, but quiet though. I've rarely seen a B&B in such an excellent condition, clean and nicely furnished. I appreciated these little extras like spring water and hot chocolate on the coffee tray, or fruit and muesli bars on the breakfast table. We paid 60GBP for a double room,... more

My wife & I had an enjoyable 2 night stay at the Lindores Guest House in old town Peebles. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. The proprietors, Janice and Nigel were both friendly and helpful and the hearty breakfast provided an excellent start to the day. Would stay there again, great value for money. more
