I have not stayed at Cringletie House but I have eaten there on many occasions when visiting family in nearby Cardrona. As this is a small hotel folk may not think of visiting just for a meal but please do. The first floor restaurant with its beautiful views is a delight and the food is delicious. Wonderful stay at Cringletie House, warm welcome and extremely helpful staff whilst always maintaining their professionalism. We stayed in the Selkirk Suite which is beautiful and the Jacuzzi bath is wonderful. Public rooms beautiful as are the grounds. Cringletie House is a beautiful hotel, it only has about 15 rooms so it always feels peaceful and exclusive. Stayed recently for overnight stay on the 7 course tasting menu and found the rooms, the meal, the wine, the service of an extremely high standard. Grounds are nice and you are only a short drive to Peebles. This hotel is perfect for a romantic break or a special occasion. A real find - do not hesitate to book.

I cannot fault this hotel. We booked an overnight stay with the 7 course tasting menu with wine for dinner and it was truly wonderful. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Selkirk Suite which is beautiful and has a fabulous bathroom. The staff were excellent and a credit to the hotel. I would definately recommend this hotel...
