Can only agree with the last review and have to wonder at the others. If you're after a short family break - go to Crieff Hydro instead - equivalently priced but much, much better. peebles hydro was somewhere that we were really looking forward to visiting.... until we arrived. It is depressing from the moment you get out the car. We picked Peebles as our child friendly short break (with 3 and 5 year old in tow) having tried a few of the child friendly hotels before (eg Bedruthan Steps) so this was a break very much with children in mind.
