This was our second stay at Cavens, again we booked late - brilliant value at £150 dinner bed and breakfast. Again we were upgraded to an estate room, Oswald. Can't fault anything, food was perfect, staff were very helpful, all rooms were clean. Will stay again. more

Cavens is a delightful country house hotel set in a peaceful and tranquil setting.The owner "Angus" and his staff are friendly and attentive.Dinner is of a good standard and breakfast is excellent.The only criticism is that dinner is a rushed affair with the intention of getting guests in and out of the dining room as quickly as possible!! more

The hotel is in a beautiful location with nice views and peaceful, quiet surroundings. We found the staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble.
