Stayed whist traveling with show and found this B&B very comfortable & good value, and the food was excellent. Not sure what other reviewers mean but we found host to be extremely hospitable and welcoming. What did other people want from their host, an Entertainer ? as well thrown in. I enjoyed my first stay here so much last year that I returned this year and it was just as good, in fact better, as Freeview had been added to the television in my room. We stayed here the night before my brother in laws wedding. The B&B is really lovely, nice rooms, good facilities etc the only thing that spoiled it was the host Bruce, he really needs to get a personality. Not once did he look me in the eye when talking to me (which was not often) he was very hard work.... more

This is an excellent B&B on northern edge of Dumfries with easy road access without getting into the town. Nice room with ensuite shower room (shower a bit tricky to control but not a problem). Quality feel to room & house. Nice breakfast. Pleasant hosts. Car parking. Great value at £35 single occupancy of double room. I have no hesistation... more

Lovely B&B in Dumfries. Great location -- easy in and out for travelers. Restaurants within walking distance and the owner is most accomodating and helpful. Wish we had had more time to spend here. more

Great value B&B in Dumfries, Scotland. Large villa house comprising about 7 double rooms. Very comfortable and quiet. Choose breakfast night before from menu (and what time you want it). Double room nice size, en-suite was shower only. Would recommend. more

We stayed in Rivendell for 2 nights before our wedding at Comlongon Castle this year.
