Stayed here for one night with my husband and a couple of friends. The location is a 10 min walk from the town centre, plenty of parking. The rooms were very nice, comfortable with good amenities. Room 5 is a four poster, larger room and very nice. Breakfast was really tasty. Can't really complain about anything - not sure how... More

We just had one night...really wished we could have stayed longer.The room was lovely with a four poster bed. All the decor was very "Scottish" including the lovely dining room where we enjoyed a very filling and tasty breakfast the next morning. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Will definately return as soon as possible :))

We stayed for a long weekend and were not disappointed. The Rivendell is absolutely fabulous with the fixtures and fittings really outstanding. The staff made it a treat to satay and finally the breakfast was to die for. You would be foolish to miss this gem!

Just back from yet another excellent stay at the Rivendell in Dumfries. First class accommodation, superb breakfasts and friendly service makes this our first port of call whenever in Dumfries. Fully deserves its AA 4 Stars. Premier Inn, our former choice, just cannot compete.

Stayed at Rivendell for two nights in March. Everybody was really great and the places was very welcoming. Loved the porridge and breakfast was on time and personalised. Also great to find facilities to charge my iphone in the room. I recommend you go there.
