We received a warm greeting and were shown into a large and comfortable room. Super bathroom with very good accessories. Bed was very comfortable but had no bedside tables, which was the only thing that let this place down. Plenty of information and accessories in room to make stay more comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked and served. we... more

I stayed one night at Glenlossie and I loved it! From the moment I step into the hall, I immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is so warm and all the staff is very friendly and helpful, smiling and genuine. The room was very clean and the bed very, very cozy. The morning after, my good morning came into form... more

A very clean and pleasant Guest House with parking facilities, very close to town. There has been an extension built and the rooms in the extension are modern and box like, resembling almost a Travel Inn type accommodation, and we had one of these overlooking the car park. It would have been nice to have had one of the older... more

Me and my wife (early thirties / late twenties) have been visiting the Dumfries area for golfing trips 6 out of the 7 previous years. Glenlossie is highly recommended for accomodation in Dumfries. It's located a 10 minute stroll from the city centre, parking on property or street outside (easy to find parking). Rooms are clean and cosy (we have... more

Knowing that Dumfresians (are they called that?) are a very friendly and welcoming bunch, I was more than happy with the assistance and service at the Glenrossie. It was an overnight stay but the rooms were cosy, warm (it was Winter!!) and provided all the necessaries. Breakfast was excellent and very prompt. Thank you for looking after us..... more

Stayed 7th + 8th September 07 with my partner. Rooms were light, airy and very clean and the room also had a roomy fridge. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfasts were very large with wide variety to chose from. Very close to town centre - 10 minute stroll. Would definitely stay at the Glenlossie again. more

Turned up early evening having not booked and received a warm welcome. Did not have a double room available but stayed in a nice twin and were moved next day to a family room at no extra cost. Rooms were clean with tea, coffee available and TV. There was a good choice of breakfast from full English to Yoghurt, Cereal... more
