We had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel is quite small (six bedrooms I believe) and situated above the pub with access from within. The proprietor was friendly and very welcoming. The room was basic but clean but for that price you can't ask for more. The food menu covered all the family tastes and arrived promptly and was tasty. We have stayed here before on several occasions as we find it a very useful stop off on the way north. It is just south of junction 16 on the A74(M). more
