We meandered into Kircudbright almost by accident at 3pm and were welcomed warmly and were offered the last available room. The room was clean spacious and well-appointed if a little old-fashioned. Breakfast and dinner were served with smiles and attention and the food was delicious, including very fresh fish beautifully but not pretentiously prepared. This is a wonderful, friendly hotel in the very heart of picturesque Kirkcudbright. The facilities are first rate, the staff and management very friendly and helpful, and the local ale served is delicious! You won't find a better hotel in Kirkcudbright, and I can't wait to come back! more
