This was our second stay in 2 years at Baytree House in Kirkcudbright . Joe met us at the door and introduced us to Geraldine. Our previous room was available, so we immediately took it. Set in the beautiful town of Kirkcudbright (the artists town), the Baytree House is very central with free on street parking, its a beautiful georgian building, the owners Geraldine and Joe were very welcoming and helpful, there was everything we needed in the spacious room including little extras like sherry and bottled water, there was also a large sitting room... more

Before staying here, we read a review saying that it could be noisy but in actual fact we found it to be very quiet indeed, even though our room overlooked the high street and that we stayed over a weekend. Kirkcudbright is the modern day "Brigadoon". Everyone we met went out of their way to be most helpful. Geraldine and Joe are the perfect hosts and accommodation and food cannot be faulted. The best smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfast that we have EVER had!! Betty and David more
