Having stayed here before, we were looking forward to returning. The hotel web site was encouraging but turned out to be very misleading, so beware. This time we had a room in the attic, with cooking smells and a non-functional shower. The bath took ten minutes to fill. The restaurant was very disappointing indeed, as all guests had to sit together at the same table like at a boarding school and so make polite conversation with total strangers. Good food (no choice however), served with no choice of (mediocre) wine completely spoiled by the dining table arrangements. If you want a quiet meal with a friend/partner or on your own, forget it! Web site says and shows different. Thank goodness we only booked for one night. Even the view from our window was inaccurate, all we got was a big cypress tree in the way! Given all that, it was relatively expensive for what was only a glorified boarding house. more
