Don't be put off by the somewhat tired looking exterior. Inside you are treated very well by Tricia. She is excellent and makes the stay worthwhile. She seems to to everything there, from organising reception, pouring drinks and serving breakfast. Without her our stay would have been very average. Rooms comfortable and hotel very clean. The hotel was generally disappointing. On arrival the general impression from the car park was shabby - if we had not prepaid via telephone I would not have ventured inside. The room was comfortable, but the heating was very inadequate and not turned on for our arrival during freezing temperatures. Lovely re-furbished room, spacious bathroom, very comfortable bed. It would seem that a lot of money has recently been spent doing up this hotel - still ongoing i think.
