My wife and I spent two days at Marchbankwood in mid-June. We could not have wished for anything better. The room we had was large and comfortable with amazing views over the Moffat hills. We have had the good fortune to have stayed at Marchbankwood House not one time, not two times, but three times when traveling to Scotland from southern England. This B&B should be the model for all B&Bs to aspire to. Elegant but understated, comfortable, spacious with views to die for. We will always return when traveling and would never give... more

We stayed for one night at Marchbankwood House in July but it felt as though we were gone for a week! The rooms are beautiful and the view from our room "Holly" was just stunning. My parents, my husband and I recently stayed at Marchbankwood House for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The bedrooms are large, light and airy with wonderful views. Beds are comfy with crisp white bed linen. A kettle, biscuits, bottled water. tea. coffee, etc. are provided with an option of fresh milk if you prefer it to the individual... more

Stayed for one night in Marchbankwood - great hosts, massive bed in a lovely spacious room and a good breakfast. A real period house, tastefully decorated, and very handy for the M74. A good stop-off point en route to and from Scotland. Go visit! more
