My wife and I have stayed here many times whilst visiting family and friends in Monifieth over the years, and can honestly say that every stay has been lovely. The last stay was no exception, with a comfortable, warm bed, breakfast the usual excellent, full works (my wife was very happy to be able to have green tea), and John... More

I stayed at this lovely B&B for 2 nights while in Monifieth on business - right through 'The Strorm'!!. The facilities are good, the house is fantastic and John and Ros make you feel really welcome. Easy walking distance to the town and plenty of parking. I slept so well I didn't want to come back home. Highly recommended. More

We recently stayed at Ashlea Manor while visiting the area for a family celebration and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay! The rooms were beautiful and very luxurious - the fluffy dressing gowns were a lovely added bonus. John and Ros are both very warm and welcoming hosts with John providing lots of interesting history about the... More

This was a beautiful, comfortable, friendly and accomodating B&B just outside of Dundee with easy access to Carnoustie, Aberdeen and St. Andrews. We we there for two separate one-night stays on our golf holiday and appreciated the warm welcome from John and Ros, the pleasant interactions with our hosts--including nearby restaurant recommendations--comfortable rooms, great breakfast, and overall terrific value. The house is a wonderful period... More

We stayed overnight at Ashlea Manor when touring Scotland. We chose Ashlea Manor after reading all the positive reviews and we were not dissapointed.Having an early start to our first day in Scotland, after flying in to Edinburgh, we had spent the day exploring the area between Edinburgh and Dundee and needed accommodation which offered an evening meal. John (mine host)... More

John and Ros are very friendly people, living in a beautiful and big Victorian house. If you want to see much of the surroundings, be sure not to start talking to John. Once he starts to tell about the region, he can't stop! (but you'll love to listen, since he is very enthousiastic) More

We thought Dundee would be an good location to explore the East Coast of Scotland and Ashlea Manor proved this to be absolutely right: it is worth a visit. I really liked the house very much the large rooms, the fireplaces - we stayed in two mornings because of the weather and I found it was still a good holiday... More

Picked out of the little green book 24th edit at random, but was thoroughly impressed by the warm welcome we were given, so much that we stayed longer than planned . We stayed in the on site cottage which afforded us the choice of being able to self cater but enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts provided More
