This is a very tired travelodge now. Its next to the main road which most are but the noise insulation is terrible. We asked to move to the back of the hotel which was a bit better. The room was clean though the mattress was a bit lumpy as were the very thin pillows. Youcan get breakfast at some travelodges...

My partner & I stayed here for 1 night in December 2011 in a family room No.3, for £12. We hadn't had the chance to read any reviews about the place, but now I have, I'm surprised by the bad reviews. Either we were lucky to get a good room or maybe they've revamped the place since the other people...

We stayed in October 2011 for a very special occassion. I wrote a review on Trip advisor and they didn't even print it :-@. What's the point of Trip advisor then :-(. I received the e-mail from Trip advisor stating sorry your had a bad time, however my review was not even published!!!

We've stayed in Travelodge's up and down Britain and this one let's the side down severely! We arrived with our active 1 year old to a damp smelling cramped family room. Arrived to a smelly damp room, which I might have been able to put up with for one night. Then when pulling out the under couch bed to check for my son, Me and my husband were digusted to notice that there was dried (what looked like) vomit...

The travelodge was old and in need of refurbishing. That would not have mattered had the bathroom been clean. The grouting in the bathroom was black with dirt and there was a build up of dirt behnd the taps in the bath and up against the skirting boards - not a pleasent place to have a shower in! There was...

OK, the reviews worried us but as a family of 4 on a budget we couldn't afford to be choosy.
Positives - friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious, we asked for a quiet room and got it, any issues were resolved quickly. Within easy walking distances of some great local eateries that were family friendly and affordable. Would...

When we arrived and although the staff were friendly enough this can't make up for the fact that even though we requested a twin room there was no bedding to make up the sofa bed. Add to this the moldy bathroom and empty toilet roll behind the loo this made for a pretty unpleasant overnight stay, particularly as we had...
