Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here on two separate nights whilst passing through Dundee. This hotel is bargain given the quality of the rooms and the gym/spa facilities. The bars and restaurants of Dundee are only a few minutes walk away (one of the first we came across was Rama Thai, which was a great find). Check-in/out was efficient and the on-site parking a bonus.

Hotel was brilliant. The family room was spacious and clean. The facilities were excellent. My little girl loved the pool which we used twice. The location is great, short walk into town centre but not in a busy location so quiet enough for a peaceful sleep. We visited camperdown animal Park and playpark while we were here. It was a 15 minutes drive and I would highly recommend.

This was my second stay at the Apex Dundee. The first time was for a business trip and this time it was a family weekend break. I think this is a great hotel. Reasonably priced, good location near to city centre and waterfront, plenty of parking spaces if you're driving, clean comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast in the morning. Visited the pool this time, which my son enjoyed. The staff we spoke to were all friendly and professional - well done 👍🏻. We'll be back 5 🌟

Booked the private dining room for a family celebration tonight as we had a few young kids. Big thanks to our waitress who was excellent. We ordered a range of food, all of which was beautifully cooked. Service was very good despite restaurant being pretty full. All in all a great night

We stayed 4 nights. Lovely room, clean and super comfy bed. Shower excellent. Restaurant food good at dinner time but , sadly, cooked options a bit patchy at breakfast time. Muesli and granola a very budget brand. However, the staff are so helpful and super friendly and efficient. They are the jewels in the crown of this very nice hotel

Receptionist not very friendly at all. If you are booking for one person still day two as my son was with me and she would not give me a second voucher for his drink. Bit of a con. Bed is hard and room is really warm. Had to have window open all night, then you get the noise from the bridge, which kept me awake all night. The Premier Inn down the road is the same value for cheaper. Breakfast is an extra £17 on the day!! There is a cheaper cafe up the road opposite the bus station.

I had such a wonderful time celebrating my birthday! The staff were so welcoming as we arrived, and we were so delighted to receive a surprise upgrade. The suite was comfortable, nicely decorated, spacious and had such a stunning view! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom includes a lovely range of products. The staff in the restaurant and spa were also very warm, friendly and professional. We left feeling so relaxed and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Apex City Quay Hotel and Spa.
