Lads weekend in Edinburgh, so price was the main driver rather than quality. Room was quite spacious, but lacked character. Furniture, fitting and carpet all tired and in need of renewal. Bed comfortable though and a good night's sleep was had - though that may have had more to do with the drink. Food very reasonably priced and good quality... More

Stayed for 1 night when going to The Playhouse. Paid £55.80 for a family room (for 2 people) incl breakfast. We arrived early at 1.45pm, check in was 3pm. Friendly welcome and were advised we could wait in the bar until room was ready and they would have it ready a bit early for us at 2.30pm wich was nice.... More

We have just got home from our holiday in Edinburgh. We stayed at the Haymarket branch of Travelodge for 6 nights. We had a great time in Scotland and really enjoyed staying here. The best thing for me was the friendliness of the staff who were all without exception very warm and welcoming and always had time to ask us... More

Travel lodges depend on a certain formula. Bog standard rooms at a reasonable price. Well not this one. In a converted house the whole hotel could do with a makeover. Our room was adequate but only just. The mattress was very soft. The shower not brilliant. The hotel was noisy. The only thing it has going for it is its... More

Quite a lot of negative reviews here which is surprising. Yes it's basic but if your staying at a travelodge what are you expecting? It's a little hard to find if you don't know the area but the staff are friendly and it's cheap. If you happen to get a double room on the third floor you'll be amazed at... More

Our room was huge, with fantastic views over Edinburgh, although the decor was a little tired, it didn't effect our comfort and the price more than makes up for it. The staff were very friendly and happy to help all of the time. It was a great place to stay with easy access to the centre of Edinburgh.

Of all the Travelodge locations in Edinburgh, I think this one is the best (and I checked out four while I was in town). The price is VERY cheap (especially by American budget standards), and they included a decent breakfast in the package we purchased which is quite nice for the price. You can also get dinner here and they... More

Having stayed at many Travelodges before this had been old town houses converted.; The kids loved it, the rooms were huge and had a very traditional feel about it. Its about 25 mins walk from city centre and only 5.60 in a Taxi. Its away from the hussle and busstle of the city centre. No good if your driving as... More

We booked in here for a 2 night stay to explore a bit of Scotland. The hotel is less than 10 minutes away from Haymarket Railway Station so is a handy base for people travelling by train. There is a lack of signage at this hotel so make sure you know which road to go up. We were checked in... More
