Ok, start with the good bits - big rooms, and located close to a bus-stop, free car parking. Bad bits - Dated furniture, cracked sink, cob-webs, cold breakfast and generally a little need of attention. Not sure how this is classed as a hotel, as it was a bed and breakfast, also wonder if the price was bumped up due... more

We stayed for 5 nights, and enjoy very much our stay. The location is convenient and easily assessible by bus. The room is clean, bright (maybe because we visited in summer), spacious and with all necessities for guests. Breakfast is included - hot and delicious. more

Great attention! We walked very much because we got confussed in the airport bus stop. Its almost best walking from the airport, around 10 blocks. And they gave us a great room, very big, with two beds, bathroom inside, bussiness desk and chimney. All was great! A bus stop almost in front of the hotel, that takes you directly to... more

We had a wonderful weekend with friends in Edinburgh and stay at the Corstorphine Lodge for 3 nights. The staff are friendly and very helpful and served freshly cooked breakfast. We would certainly recommend you to stay at this hotel - it is very handy for the airport - 5-10 mins drive/bus and about 15 mins drive/bus to the city... more

How can this hotel have three stars? It has tacky, cheap furniture, lots of tasteless ornaments, heavily patterned carpets. Our room had a boiler and controls for the building's central heating in it. We were told that to have breakfast you we would have to be up by 9am on an Easter Sunday morning. Having read the other reviews I... more

If you like a good nights sleep then avoid this hotel like the plague..... Here are some thought about my room. old furniture flowery 1970's decor cramped old threadbear carpet clean, but cheaply decorated from charity shops sash windows rattled no lock on the bedroom door But best of all the loudest door bell that even with earplugs woke me... more

Corstorphine Lodge Hotel appears to be two Victorian/Edwardian houses joined together and located on a main road into Edinburgh. We did not book in advance and were looking for 2 nights accommodation reasonably close to the City with off road car parking space. We paid £70 per night for a large, shabby double room and breakfast. Carpets and decoration throughout... more

The location is on the main road, miles out of central Edinburgh with few tourist amenities nearby - theres a big Tesco and a MacDonalds a minute's walk away. The rooms are big, though dilapidated with aged (rather than antique) furniture. The quality of the decor is very low - our bathroom had tiles missing from the floor (covered with... more
