I've just returned to the U.S. from a 3 week vacation in the U.K., and absolutely LOVED my stay at The Auld Reekie!

I was stunned that this gem of a Bed and Breakfast only had 3 stars from the Scottish Tourist Board; as soon as someone realizes their mistake and the word gets out, this place will be booked constantly!

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-provided (including WiFi access.) The breakfast menu was wonderful, whether I wanted the sumptuous full cooked breakfast or just a simple but tasty tea, toast and fruit. The dining area was lovely with beautiful tableware and settings, with the sun streaming in from the front windows. Simply wonderful.

My hostess, Rhona, was warm, friendly, helpful, and not only made me feel right at home, but well taken care of as she made sure I not only had everything I needed, but made sure I had transportation options and that I knew how much time I needed to pack, eat and get where I was going on the days I had... more
