Good hotel for easy access to central Edinburgh and Usher Hall within walking distance, for what we paid for the rooms it was very reasonable. On arrival we were given keys to two rooms already oocupied, however this was promptly dealt with. Shower however was a nightmare as the water pressure (cold) was enough to knock my friend over in... more

We went there mid week so it was quiet enough, but the halls are all timber joists so the footsteps in the corridors sounded as if someone was coming into your room. The walls are paper thin and every door slamming rattled everything in your room. The bathroom was very grubby with mildew and grime on the tiles. On the... more

Outdated hotel which is reasonable and well located. Shabby bathroom and e'thing could do with a good scrub. Street noise dispite windows being closed made sleep difficult. more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights during the middle of the first week in October and it was fantastic. We arrived in Edinburgh by midday and we could check into the hotel early - the first room they gave us was on the first floor which was clean enough, but being on the first floor with no... more

Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. Who are these people that are giving this hotel a negative outlook! Its a 3 star hotel and we paid 90 quid for a twin room, so good value for money. The rooms were spotless. lovely comfy beds with comfy bedding and a nice bathroom, flat screen... more

We stayed here for a friends wedding in July, the room at the top where they were married had the most amazing back drop overlooking Edinburgh castle but that's about it. It was obviously added as an after thought as you had to go down two flights of stairs to find the toilet. We had a room on the top... more

The following review is the basis of a complaint to the Hotel. Draw your own conclusions......but be warned. Having just spent the worst night of my life in a Hotel. I feel obliged to advise yourselves of this. It is a total disgrace. I have never stayed in a hotel that has dust on the Phone table that you can... more

REALLY disappointed with this hotel. My friends and I had booked the hotel as a base for a quiet golfing weekend in Edinburgh for the beginning of October. We are not a rowdy or 'laddy' group, just normal guys wanting to relax and play golf for the weekend. The hotel have just called the friend who made the reservation to... more

A group of 9 of us stayed overnight, the check in was very organised and polite, we were even given maps of the city. The corridors upstairs are unusual to say the least, resembling a multi storey car park in places but not unpleasant . Our rooms were all nice, clean and comfortable, some members of the group found the... more

The customer service was very good, but this place needs to clean or replace its carpets!! The hallway lighting was dim as well. The room was stark, but had a great view Edinburgh Castle. It was roomy and kept clean, but after walking through such dirty carpets I wore bedroom slippers the entire time I was in our room. The... more
