Booked a 3 bedroom apartment that sleeps 6 over the May Day Bank Holiday whilst attending a family wedding outside Edinburgh. Apartment was spotlessly clean and well appointed: washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, tv and dvd player. PLenty of cutlery, crockery, etc. Very comfortable beds! Plenty of room, with spacious open plan sitting room / dining room / kitchen, 2 twin rooms, one double, 2 bathrooms (one en suite). Only downside was there weren't enough towels for a party containing 4 women (but plenty of hot water)! Also had wifi broadband for a fee - which we didn't use but seemed a reasonable price. It's only a 15 minute walk to Princes Street, about 20 minutes to Grassmarket, but 5 minutes to Haymarket train station if the walk's a bit too much (plenty of taxis there too - and a cashpoint machine). The reailway track runs behind the apartment block but the apartment had triple glazing in the rear rooms so when the windows were shut you'd never know it was there... more
