The hotel Missoni is ideally placed on the Royal Mile, about 10 minutes walk from Waverley. Its all pretty trendy, decorated with Missoni fabrics etc. Beds are really comfortable, room amenities are excellent (nespresso coffee makers, free mini bar etc) and I thought the staff were polite and helpful. I did not eat there so cannot comment on the food....

It is not often that you get the opportuntiy to stay at a hotel in your own city but business required this! This was not a hardship! Outstanding hotel at corner of George IV Bridge and Royal Mile. Is there a better hotel to base your explorations of the old city? I don't believe so. A wonderfully furnished glamorous lobby...

From the outside the hotel looks like a 1960s bank but inside it is cutting edge design. Perhaps, as other reviewers have said, too cutting; the jagged black and white zig-zags and great slashes of tutti fruiti colour could produce persistence of vision after a while. Nevertheless, the delightful staff are the essence of charm and efficiency. The hotel offers...

We stayed at the Missoni for a birthday celebration, and it was a fantastic place to stay.
Check in was quick and easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful in describing the local area to us. The room was a good size: not enormous, but certainly big enough for the two of us. The bed was amazingly comfortable,...

A short stay in a Missoni Hotel and I'm quickly reminded of my age, cynicism and lack of a cosmopolitan background. All the staff are young, non-UK and slightly camp and cheerfully stripy. Each hand picked and groomed to exude style over substance and intelligence but the are still polite, professional and helpful. Stripes are also a big part of...

From the moment we arrived at The Missoni the service was excellent. A kilted doorman greeted us, took our bags and welcomed us to Edinburgh. He delivered us to reception to check in whilst giving tips on what to see during our stay. He gave us a map and chatted about things to do and the ways to see the...

My partner and I stayed in Hotel Miissoni in May 2010. This was our first experience of a 5* hotel and it didn't dissapoint. From the fabulous location to the extravagant furnishings this hotel is top notch. Complentary Missoni robes to wear during your stay and Missoni furnishings throughout make this a luxurious one. The bathroom was great with a...

I had really high expectations to the hotel after reading reviews of it, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed.
The room had paper thin walls so we could hear people in the halls and the room next to us VERY well. You could be talking normally and still be hearing every word being said.
Do order...

The second our taxi stopped outside, my husband & I were ushered in to the very cool Missoni fold. We immediately felt taken care of by the the staff, love their Universal Concierge system where any member of the team can assist with any request. Our Maggiore room was perfect in terms of style and functionality if a little compact,...
