We stayed at Kelly's based on a local friend's recommendation, and it was our favorite B&B on our whole trip. Located on the Queensferry Road, in the West end of Edinburgh, Kelly's gives you a taste of life in the city outside of the central tourist areas. There is a bus stop right across the street, and any number of buses will take you right to the old and new towns in about 15 minutes. They run very frequently, and again, give you a taste of real life. Even coming back from the Tattoo late at night, catching the bus was no problem. Liz and Tony Kelly are wonderful hosts and really make you feel like their place is your home. There's a beautiful backyard garden, a comfy lounge and a breakfast room looking out on the garden. We stayed in the family room, which was a spacious suite of two bedrooms. Breakfasts were sumptuous and yummy. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend Kelly's to anyone. more
