Beautiful Hotel and loaded with history. Some rooms face Edinburgh Castle and Parks. By far the finest breakfast I have had in a long long time. Excellent. Stayed at The Caledonian, as part of a business trip to Edinburgh. There's a terrible amount of road works in Edinburgh at the moment and we were having problems getting to the hotel due to closed roads etc. We rang the hotel who asked where we were and to our amazement the concierge said we were about 5 mins away... more

Our stay at the Caledonian Hilton in Edinburgh was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms much larger than what we expected. Check in was very efficient and the staff extremely accomodating. The Caledonian Hilton is located at the head (foot?) of the Royal Mile (Princess Street is currently impassible due to on-going construction of a tram system.) Stayed at the Hilton for a long weekend and really enjoyed my stay. great location, excellent room- they gave us a very big room since we had our baby son with us. Excellent breakfast buffett. Location is so central that you may hear some of the noise from partygoers on the weekends. more
