My husband and I stayed at the Glenora guesthouse over St Patricks weekend. We had heard that they did a fantastic organic breakfast which they indeed do but what was equally as good was the understated elegance and charm of this restored building. The room was spacious, light and airy and spotlessly clean with a nice selection of organic teas... more

I stayed here during my Scotland roundtrip by train. The location is almost opposite to the Haymarket station but a bit too far from the (central) Waverley station. Next time I would chose a hotel or guest house nearer to the city centre and the Waverley station (although you get on a bus to bridge the distance). The guest house... more

My husband and I stayed at The Glenora for two nights when travelling around Scotland last month. We were very impressed with the bed & breakfast, and would definitely stay there again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was great. The location was great...very close to Edinburgh Castle, and the ride to the airport was... more

The Glenora hotel, is in a great location for Haymarket station - it's literally less than a minutes walk from the station. It''s about a 15 minute walk to princess street ( shopping street) which is a pleasant walk. The rooms were clean, and there was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, if you were staying longer than a weekend... more

We were under impression that this was a hotel. It isn't, it is a b&B with breakfast well below standard of the Brentwood in Aberdeen, yet more expensive. Thus no evening meal or sitting room or bar. Our room was at top of stairs and we struggled with our cases. Best thing about the room was the flat screen TV.... more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our honeymoon in Scotland. It really is a lovely hotel. We were given a very nice big room, and though there was no tub, the bathroom was upgraded and spotless! Each morning we had an amazingly fresh, full breakfast in the dining room before heading out, and... more

Have just returned from staying at the Glenora for a week. Went to Edinburgh on business and needed somewhere reasonably priced, central, comfortable and clean. The Glenora didn't disappoint. The decor is beautiful, modern and restfull. The rooms are immaculately kept, spotlessly clean and nice and warm. The bathroom was smallish but well planned with a very efficient shower. Toiletries... more

This small hotel is steps away from the Haymarket train station and yet an easy walk to Prince's Street, the Castle, and all the main sights in Edinburgh. The street it is located on is quiet and the neighborhood quite tranquil, even though it is so close to the train station. There is a lot to like about this hotel.... more
