me and my gorgeous girlfriend arrived mid nov at the albany ballantrae and was taken aback by the grandeure with what faces u as u enter. Apart from the uniqeness an cleanliness of the hotel the location is as good as it gets from a city hotel, tucked away in a eloquent side street 5 mins away from the centre... more

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and during this stay I had no hot water! I had travelled with 3 other couples and they endured the same problem. Promises were made that this would be rectified and I doubt it has been as I write this now. We were made to walk through the hotel to the other... more

We had booked this hotel for a special birthday celebration. On arrival on friday 13th our first problem was that there was no key to the room and in the end we had to have the master key and were told one could not be cut until Monday. Our next hiccup was that the television did not work so we... more

We stayed the same time as the group from Yorkshire and our experience couldn't have been any different. The room was lovely, the staff were extremely helpful and the public rooms both beautiful and comfortable. The only off-putting thing about the hotel was on coming down to go out for dinner on Saturday night there were a number of very... more

Stayed at the hotel from Friday until Sunday. No hot water for the duration, no phone in the room to call reception, no manager to complain to. The concierge was absolutely spot on and was unlucky to be copping it in the neck from disgruntled customers. They have supposedly suspended payment for the room until I receive a telephone call... more

We were taken to our rooms, on the floor directly outside one of the rooms was a lamp which had been taken apart (obviously someone in the process of trying to fix it) a stanley knife, screw drivers,... more

Our room was the most spacious we've ever stayed in and had bags of storage space! It was clean and very comfortable and came with tea/coffee making facilities, iron, hairdryer, slippers, dressing gown, trouser press, ironing board, shampoo and soap, tv. The maid serviced our room everyday and we always had fresh towels, tea/coffee making facilties. The lighting in our... more

We just loved this hotel and felt there like home. We stayed 2 nights and received a so fantastic warm welcome from all the staff, the room was so cosy that we wished we had booked for longer. It is true, it's not "perfect", some furniture of the room was defect but we just felt as it was our home....... more
