The hotel was a beautifully appointed boutique hotel with gorgeous public areas and fantastic bedrooms, location was perfect for both the old town and new, and train station. Elena on reception was lovely, breakfast was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel

Hotel's Favourite
First of all, we really love the Indigo brands, each with its own style in really unique buildings. The Princes Street’s decor is based on the literary history of Edinburgh, and is in a great location just across the street from the train station and within east walking distance of both Old and New Town. We stayed 5 nights and the rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable, with modern renovations. The staff from the front desk, restaurant, bar, and housekeeping are all very nice and so helpful. Even with city view room overlooking busy Princes Street the blackout blinds kept it dark and it was very quiet. Our only complaint, and it’s not really a complaint but something to consider, is that the elevator services only part of the hotel, and so be prepared to take bags up some flights of stairs. For the location, price point, and staff you cannot do better than the Hotel Indigo Princes Street.

Hotel is literally across the road from Waverley Station - fantastic location. The rooms are lovely - very spacious and very comfortable. Bar has a good range of drinks including Monkey 47, which was a bonus! Tons of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity since it’s right in the centre of town. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Edinburgh!

We stayed here for 2 nights after a tour in Scotland. The location is great for sightseeing as the Royal Mile is about a 15 minute walk. The rooms compact but well decorated and comfortable. The restaurant has a great view of Edinburgh. We had dinner there on our first night and wish we would have also had dinner there the second night. Try the lamb, it was excellent. Their breakfast is also to order and very good.

excellent location! close to eveything. my room had a street facing window which allowed a gorgeous view. there was a bit of noise from drunk people walking down the street at 2am. but nothing too loud. restauran and bar were good. my only complaint is the bathroom is ridiculous tiny! if that isn't an issue for you, i'd recommend.

We arrived here from the train and the first thing that is obvious is the location. Right across the road from the Waverly Station exit on Princes Street is ideal, as is the proximity to the New Town shops, bars and restaurants. We also arrived with a specific problem as we needed to send an electronic file and hoped to use a “business centre” computer in the hotel (or another location) to send the file we had on a USB stick as we did not have a laptop with us. However, the Indigo Hotel does not have a Business Centre but the staff went out of the way when we checked in to find somewhere that could help us. After many phone calls they did find somewhere and that was much appreciated. Our room was a good size and nicely decorated, with comfortable chairs. The only downside was that we booked a King Size room and the bed was fairly small – certainly did not seem like a king size bed. Breakfast the next day was superb – the full Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked and hot (although the poached eggs could have been more runny). We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room was fabulous! The bed was to die for, we slept extremely well. Very good blackout curtains and the bedding, pillows etc were beautiful. Had a nice selection of teas, coffees and drinks in the room. The water and chocolate in the fridge was a very nice touch as were the crisps and shortbread! The arran shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and body wash was lovely to use in the bathroom. All of the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Anna especially who checked us in and gave us some tips on where to go and what to see. The smell throughout the hotel was gorgeous. The only problem was that corridor was noisy overnight but that’s not any fault of the staff.

Hotel Indigo Fabulously close to Waverley Station and on Princes Street this hotel is quirky but delivers. The styling around Scotlands Writers is eclectic but service is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is fabulous and the staff were eager to please to requests re baggage / late checkout etc. Would recommend and stay again.

Absolutely loved this hotel. From the location to our room, to the staff we had a wonderful stay. I highly suggest upgrading to a higher floor room off princess street. I believe our room was 801 and it was gorgeous. Very spacious with lovely views, bathroom was very nice and shower pressure is great which i always appreciate. The lobby bar is fun in the evenings. Location is prime, especially during Christmas, the market is directly across the street. Definitely will book this hotel next time in Edinburgh! Our room was a little tough to get to as the hallways are narrow and there were stairs (we had lots of bags and they were heavy so was glad i had some muscle with me). Im sure the hotel would bring the bags to your room if that would be an issue.
