What a lovely place! The facilities were excellent, the rooms light and clean and the staff freindly. I would highly recommend the Ben Doran to anyone planning a trip to Edinburgh. The Ben Doran is within walking distance of the city, but buses also run regularly from nearby. I would definitely book again. more

The Ben Doran is a nice, welcoming hotel based around 2 miles outside Edinburgh city centre. There are numerous buses running from outside the hotel so transport is no problem. The welcome was a bit miserable as if we were not welcome, then we were sent to the basement room which on first impressions is good. Its nice and big and clean.
