Stayed with my family and without any central room downstairs to congregate in, it was hard to visit. Owners are quite nice in a distant kind of way and apparently had some concerns about us leaving on time, as they turned the lights out on half of my family during our final breakfast there. Our family room was spacious, clean and cozy. The decent and comfortable room made us feel like staying home. The delicious and ample breakfast was always a good start for everyday. We really appreciate the kindness of our host in accomodating our needs and providing us with useful travel information. He is kind, attentive and helpful. more

Dunedin Guest House is a comfortable and beautiful B&B in Edinburgh. It's a bit away from the city centre, but is not a problem because the bus stop is near and there are several bus . We knew this as Dunedin Guest House on Priestfield Road. It was a bit away from the sites in the city, but my understanding is that this is where all of the B&B's are located. Our family of 3 recently stayed at the Dunedin Guest House on Priestfield Rd. in Endinburgh. We selected it because of the many positive comments here and also in Rick Steve's Guidebook to Great Britain. We were not disappointed! Dunedin GH is a beautiful, comfortable, delicious choice in where to stay while visiting Scotland's capital. We were warmly welcomed and well fed, and the family room for three is spacious and scenic. Enjoyed hearing birdsong instead of traffic noise! The Dunedin is a lovely place - in the B&B area of Edinburgh. You need to take a bus to the sites...or walk a good 25 minutes to the Royal Mile. Check in isn't until 5 pm and Check out is at 10 am - so this may not be the most convenient times for many travelers. Other than that,... more
